ARK Innovation ETF (NYSE:ARKK) is a disruptive technology ETF that was launched in November of 2014 and is managed by Cathie Wood of ARK Investment Management. ARKK is an actively managed portfolio of ~33 stocks that represent the most disruptive, innovative, and transformative companies of the next decade. This is equivalent to the NASDAQ 100 in 1990. Today’s NASDAQ 100 looks a lot like the DJIA and the SP500 and no longer provides material exposure to the disruptive companies of the future.
